I have finally found the time to design for this wonderful body sculpt.  This is a girl body Baby by Doll Chateau.  She is wearing a girly styled Faust head. 

I knew that I wanted her belly button to peek out sometimes while still being modestly covered.  Those are gauchle pants with a fun flare and easy wear.  Super comfortable and flattering for your little girl!  The fabric is a high quality taffeta with a nice green/grey background and tiny black polka dots.

The corset is form fitting and designed perfectly for sitting as well as standing.  I decided to use the age old method of string loops for the corset ties in the back.  This seemed to blend better than an eyelet and did not chop up the flow of the black.  I will include enough ribbon for you to tie and trim to your liking.  This has been lined in a champagne satin and will be soft on those dolls with a body blush.

The hat was the most fun to make.  It is a very fine and lightweight wool tweed.  This fabric is very special to me as it came from a lovely woman who had sewn for her whole life.  She has since passed and I had been holding on to this fabric for the very perfect project.  The scale and weight is wonderful for an 8" doll.  This is a grey and black body tweed.  I've added a tiny trim of soft jersey for added zip and color as well as to be soft on the face.  Included with each set will be a few tiny sprigs of shorn mohair.  Some loose and some wefted.  I believe with these tiny sets, sometimes less is more.  The red hair you see is two pieces of wefted curls just placed within the hat before wearing.  Fabulous!

I have been a collector of fine fabrics for years and you will see this in my designs. 

Also note, this set just about fits the Nefer Kane Humpty Dumpty.  She is just slightly smaller in the tummy and height.  There will be a revised version soon for the "Eggie" doll.  Thank you!
